Captain Patrick Price was a well-known, respected and competitive sailfish tournament participant and winner.

Price was a giant in the fishing community.  For the better part of 25 years, he fished professionally not only on the Treasure Coast and in eastern Florida, but also around the world.  He worked on private boats, charter boats and started his own business as a charter boat captain.  He was the owner and captain of the iconic 34-foot inboard Sea Vee named the DayMaker.

His goal and desire was to make everyone smile and to give them a taste of the experiences he saw first-hand every day in his office, the ocean!

Captain Patrick was a beloved husband to Mandy and father to Zane and a treasured son, brother, uncle and friend. He was known for his tireless work ethic, attention to detail and commitment to excellence in fishing. He was also respected for rising up to help those less fortunate such as victims of hurricanes in the Bahamas, wounded veterans and families with children in medical crises.

As his brother, Craig, said, “He was a great connector of people.”

Price often began his work day with strangers, and ended the day with friends. He was a builder of unforgettable memories.

At the urging of the fishing community and Patrick’s many friends, The Captain Patrick Price Memorial Fund was established to honor his commitment to being a dedicated day-maker by supporting charitable causes and projects in his memory.
